The yanks on Nasioc refer to their coupes as GC6 too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_VIN_codes says:
G Impreza
M Impreza Coupe

but that strikes me as VIN codes for the USDM as opposed to ADM/JDM
