70w is quite high. that's a huge viscosity once it gets up to temperature.

I like to stick to the european oils personally. Silkolene is my preference, semi synthetic 10w40. Expensive but when you dump it at 5000kms it still has colour in it.

The Shell oils have come a hell of a long way in the last 5 years though, they used to be cheap shit.
