Having seen 1.8 and 1.95 bar spikes on my stock 205 with no problems, i'd also think that either it held 1.8 for a longer time than just a spike or the motor was a bit sad beforehand. either way i'd be rolling the car into said workshop to fix for free, or i'd be calling consumer affairs...
