thats pretty much it right there tino. There's no set rule of thumb, BUT if you keep a high maintenance regime it will reward you. Running 1.5+ bar plus isnt an issue, pending on how hard it is driven on the road( squirts 1st to 3rd doesnt really stress it) vs real driven track time (constantly high boost pressure and high rpm combined with heat stress associated with it, will determine its life span, and as jonno rightly stated, how long is a piece of string.
