Too much of pain in the ass .. I hardly ever double clutch. As above, if you have synchro's, you don't need to.

Only double shift when going from second to first at a speed that i'm not sure if it will pop in .. They are always nervous moments. I'm not a fan of the rule 'if you can't find it, grind it'.

I give the throttle a blip on the downshift to make a smooth transition into the lower gear quite often, but other than that ..
