I just went out to check again. The front of the muffler is properly mounted onto an exhaust hanger and the whole muffler won't even budge when I tried to shake it so it was secure.
However, I will get the rear hanger done properly as I do not like such, if I may call it, half shod work.
I inspected the car myself and must admit that I missed this. It was sold by a friend of a mate...so it's my own fault for not spotting this!
