Thermo fans (radiator fans) work when the car gets to a certain temp usually just before or once the thermostat is fully opened. And they do work when the a/c is on. to test them start your car and let it idle up to operating temp ( about half way on your temp guage ) then take the idle up to 2000 to 2500 rpm and hold it you should hear the fans start up if not then the temp guage will rise above half way and your thermos aren't working

Only been driving the car lightly since the radiator got fixed and everything has been perfectly fine. On operating temp idle, the fans arent working, havnt tried bringing the revs up though. Should be fine as the fans work with a/c but ill give it a test tomorro.
