Man -- Farken hell.

I had a issue with my Brandt yesterday too !! It is the heat which causes it. Went to a mates house, car was rather warm .. Left there, drive 2 seconds around the corner to the shops ..

Got back in the car, wouldn't start !! Brantd was disabled, Engine Light came on .. Go to start the car, zero activity! Waited 10 mins, tried again .. Nothing ..

Popped the hood, called the RAC to get a Tilt-Tray ... Hung up, tried again and it started!

So the solution for me, is basically, popping the hood, letting some of the heat dissapate as it was f00king warm under there, and eventually it will start.

Annoying shit.
