Having been in a situation to choose between a ford or holden last year, (wanted a ute, sorry no jap manufacturer makes a full-body tray style one in a sporty kinda context) the VE's are head, shoulders, and most of the torso above any previous model holden, and also the fords... put simply you cannot compare a VU/VX/VY/VZ vs a VE ...whilst yes some things are similar, there's sooooooo much that isnt... and it's not fair to even think of them in the same category, holden has come a long way with the VE and it's definatly headed the right direction, and i think you'll find from here on in it's only gonna get better with what they're offering... but yeh, i agree with some stuff, but being a VE owner, and this is coming from a die-hard subaru fan (ie. all my cars to-date have been scoobys) the VE is defiantly a great car.

Cheers,

SiriX
