Heavier- Yes, also agreed, you really can't go past Tool for a wall of polyrhythmic waves to cook your subs! Perfect Circle still good for more melodic-driven tunes (Same singer etc) but nothing new out for a while now?

Old skool "trip-hop"- Try 'Massive Attack' (particularly 'Mezzanine' and '100th Window' albums).
