Anybody here into this stuff?

I have around $1.8-2.5g to spend on audio. 7.1 sound. Subwoofer at this stage on-top of the price (i'l buy one seperatly).

Speakers are run off a Yamaha rx-v1800 receiver. 130x7 rms.

I want. 2 x floor standing speakers + 1 centre channel.

4 x surround speakers to be able to be mounted off the ceiling (dont want to make cavities in walls due to it being plastered and painted already).

The room is large, and ceiling high. Can i mount bookshelf speakers off the ceiling?? For centre and rear surround?

I was looking at the Bose acoustimass... but most reviews said the shit. so looking at decent quality speakers! anybody in the business??
