Oh righto I'm with ya now. the centre surrounds are really what are rears in a 5.1 system. If you're not too fussed about having the best sounding system I wouldn't bother going 7.1. Just because the amp has 7 channels doesn't mean you have to use them all
You could then run the spare 2 channels to outdoor speakers in the backyard/shed.
Remember it's easier to make a hamburger out of a cow than vice-versa
