There's heaps to do, just depends who you are doing it with.

Mrs and I head to the movies sometimes, if we are having a quiet night... but most Friday nights I tend to head to the Shed and get pissy. I used to have a real 'lack of trust' for the people in NB but in the last 4 or 5 months I have not whitnessed anything untoward in NB, and the police presence is quite high. I know you said you want something other than get drunk, but if u get a few work mates together and head out all together its usually a fun night out! Expensive, but fun!

But bowling with a group of friends is fun too, pool (again, u mentioned that already) Harbour Town, like Shannon mentioned or the city for late night shopping + go to a cafe or restaurant for a bite to eat.
