So they are going to create a list of 'performance cars' which just leaves holes for 'new performance' cars to slip through.
Then if a P-plater is caught driving one, they are going to sell it off? Let's get real. How many parents are going to be put into financial difficulty because their kid borrows the parents car while they are away?
How much resources are going to be wasted on 'oh that kid looks young, maybe he hasn't got his/her p-plates up, let's pull them over to check'?
I agree with the limiting of p-platers to a certain power/weight limit, but selling a parents car because they are driving it is just insane.
If the government is serious about the death toll, sell drink drivers cars. Seems you can do much worse crimes these days and just get a slap on the wrist or a fine.
