when you start upping the boost though its more likely to suck the oil off the filter no matter how little you use, i'd def start by cleaning the afm, although the damage may already be done if you've been using oiled filters for a while, bummer you don't have a 99/00 as i have a spare good afm sitting in my garage you could test it with
