Have you got a decent antilag set up on the car Brendan?
I find that a perfect launch with the antilag on is very smooth and does not feel at all harsh on the driveline. But with it off, you have to be much more brutal to stop it bogging and it never feels as good off the line.
I'm not talking about bang, bang, bang, 3 foot flames out the back, wanker antilag, but something that allows you to build some boost, and get some throttle open while stationary. You have to be able to switch it straight off after the start or have it operate only in first gear for flowing stuff like Targa though. It gets a bit radical when trying to gently get back on the throttle in fast corners otherwise.
