I just finished changing over the intercooler, and I took it for a run, seemed to run fine.... slight burning smell, I assume is just crap that was on the intercooler etc. Wasnt very strong and there was no smoke. Went away after a little bit.

Car ran nicely, can hear the turbo spool up a bit louder now, holds boost nicely at 18psi. Now, a last question, since I am the one that fitted it, Im paranoid that one of the hoses is going to blow off. If that happens, I should notice by 1 - car runs shit and 2 - my boost gauge shouldnt show anything like 18psi ? Correct me if I am wrong
