Little bit off topic, but since you mentioned water cooled brakes (which is a interesting topic i have had a brief look into), water cooled as in water circulating the calipers (have not heard of this) or water cooled as in a fine mist of water spray, similar to I/C water spray, is released into the air ducts leading to the braking system.
While this can work really effectively, it's crucial that the mist is precise and even so it doesn't lead to hotspots/cracking etc.

i bet the ds3000's are used in the handbrakes of some cars :P I dunno, after my recent pad upgrade i've had a bit of an epiphany on pads. the
WRC ones actually pump water through the caliper, there is 2 extra banjo's on them. If you watch truck racing in Australia some of the top trucks use the other method, just like an intercooler spray. but they run drum brakes o_0
