I wouldnt really say the subi gearbox's are fragile its all about how you treat them if your driving hard you must really use the brakes to slow down and never use the gearbox, ive been to numerous AHG days skid pan and track, approx 50 laps of barbs and still running the original 5 speed gear box with modified 300hp engine and everything is still going strong *touch wood*. its all about learning the car and the way it behaves.
^^^ what he said... and Kato... especially Kato... who began to make us all wonder why there was no metal left out on the track after years of those starting line launches!!

Joh4n- at AHG, we teach you how to 'drive' well... this usually involves learning to be smooth and as easy as you can on cars and can often take time to figure out. Once you learn this most valuable lesson, you by default tend to become more sympathetic to your drivetrain as well. It also comes down to appropriate use of time and what is of most importance to teach out on the track (after all- you guys pay the money for a specific service!)... most can practice launches in their own time, or at an appropriate venu such as Kwinana- you can't however learn cornering lines, braking technique, what happens when errors are made at high speeds etc unless it's within a controlled, safe environment.

BlacklistedWRX- you'd do well to visit us for a few sessions, if you haven't done already?

+50? For Doug!!
