There is a number of traps you can fall into should you attempt to do this or go down the path of repair if you have not done this before. There is now a new replacment bearing for the main shaft, this unlike the ( most ) of the current ones in the gear boxes has a step down around 1.5mm , this requires the gear box to be reshimed & parts machined.
