Hello Tom. Nice ride welcome to the best car you very well may ever own. Even though you've had it 8 months

The reason 100,000kms is important is because it is at this time that certain things required to make the engine work reliably need to be replaced such as the timing belt and water pump is a good idea. If a timing belt breaks you get piston to vavlve contact = bad. If a water pump ceases or fails = bad.
