if the slave cyl is not moving the rod/fork, i would say it or the master cyl is faulty & may have been caused by a sticky pressure plate/clutch/flywheel.
you need to check if the clutch is disengaging, so see if the rod/fork moves.
i wouldnt try starting it in gear, try rocking the car when its in gear.
