It's been an exciting week for TeamVodafone. We dominated the sports news headlines last week with the announcement that Vodafone will continue as Principal sponsor of the Team until 2012. We made the call to sign-up with TeamVodafone for a further three years last week and now Holden have come to the party, revealing that it will provide the muscle behind Australia's number one V8 Supercar team, with TeamVodafone set to race Holden Commodores from 2010 onwards.
We're extremely proud of TeamVodafone's achievements over the years. Under the TeamVodafone banner, the team has won a total of 39 races, the 2008 driver and team championship titles and two prestigious Bathurst 1000 crowns. Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes have shared Barry Sheene Medal honours every year since Vodafone entered the sport, with a panel of Motorsport greats and media nominating the team-mates as Best and Fairest for the past three seasons.
Vodafone has happily welcomed the news of this new partnership between TeamVodafone and Holden. We look forward to watching Jamie and Craig steer their way to even more success behind the wheel of a Holden from next year.
