So, here they are:

MY04 Petter Solberg WRX - sold

MY08 STI - Now Sold
Whiteline suspension and not much else:

MY08 Liberty GT Tuned By STI

Ex now loving this:

S202 147 of 400

S201, S202 and S204

Link to Brochure on the car S202 (I have a genuine one of these - many thanks to Ramon!)

So, three relatively stock Subaru's. Sorry if anyone is bored with that but its my driveway and for now thats how it is. If the 08's were more reliable there would be mods galore and no S202 but that wasn't to be.

Thanks for stopping by!

Update 11/10/09:

Did a couple of minor things to the S202.

Added back some of the factory Stickers (thanks Wayne).

New front Brake Discs - Slotted DBA 5000's. Rob at Auto 1 Morley was a champ and at $870 not a bad price!

Also has Ferrodo DS 2500's on it now - was going to put them on the 08 but not anymore. Will get 3000's when those are worn.
Airbox is back to stock - pod removed.

Update 7/06/10.

As I took over the 22nd May Track Day thread I thought I'd better update here.

The S202 has had a few things done to it since the last update and is getting some more unexpected upgrades due to a torched piston.

First thing done was a clean and detail by Andrew - he spent a day on it and I would have walked past it in a carpark saying that guy has a nice car as it looks so much better now.

I had Autronics fitted to it a few months back. From that afternoon when I left work the car was very hard to start. I would flatten the battery and then add 10 mins of starting with a jump to get it going. Also had to warm it up for about 15 mins before I could drive it.

During the time it had these issues (waiting to have car looked at) I ran four events, the first one (Jacks Hill) ended with me in the sand due to lack of brakes (at that time I thought it was driver error) which is when I realised there are no tow hooks on the car.

I fitted some second hand R comps then ran at the Speed dome two days in a row. On the second day I was getting frustrated with not being able to stop in the garage and other places so I tried pulling the ABS fuse. On the next run I badly flat spotted the tyres and so put the ABS back on.

I changed the Brake vacuum hose with the one way valve, thoroughly bled the brakes and then did a no limits night. The R Comps were so badly flat spotted that after an hour or two JME could see sparks coming from them. On investigation I had a white patch the size of a football on the LH front tyre so left early. Brakes were still bad (intermittantly very hard pedal and ineffective).

I put the car in to be looked at. Turned out a cam gear was one cog out. No obvious damage to the timing belt but changed it anyway and had the brakes looked at which couldnt be faulted and had tow hooks and new R-comps fitted.

The only thing we can think of that may have caused the gear to slip is that the car was left in gear when it was shipped to Aus and moved in transit.

So after all that I got the car back and she started beautifully now and seemed great so I filled it with fuel and headed to Barbagello for a track day. I was having the time of my life chasing Grant in his GT3 for 4 laps, brakes now great, then I felt a little short pop coming up the hill on the long straight. The car didnt feel right from that moment and when I got to the S's I looked behind me and saw clouds of smoke.

So now I am doing an engine.

Theories behind why it torched a piston are wide and varied. I dont believe it was fuel surge as I had plenty of fuel and the car has the STI anti surge device installed. I had the injectors flow tested and the one from the cylinder with the damaged piston is down 6% in flow compared to the others. Fuel pump is another contender as is fuel filters. Oil lowering the fuels octane is another possible cause or even a combination of these.

The cases are too damaged to use so a new one has been sourced. I managed to damage a cam so one is coming from Japan as they are specific to the S202.

I have the Cosworth Oil Baffle plate on order, Hyperflow catch can and new STI injectors.
Putting in better than factory forged pistons and Bearings and am going to replace the fuel pump just in case. Going to put ARP rod and head bolts in and contemplating WRC spec engine mounts to improve hi rpm shifting.

Lets hope these things come in 3's and I can get back to enjoying the car.

See ya's on the track

Update 18/09/13:

So Trexx 2010 Lib has gone making way for Trexx M Sport 335i F30 - not much to say except I love her.

The 202 Broke, I fixed it, it broke, I fixed it, it broke, I Fixed - you get the idea. Let's just say it's still broke!
