i think it just retains that sleeve against the input shaft, the wire clip is -tiny- and i'd have probably lost it if it wasnt for me wondering what the hell all this additional stuff was attached to the torque converter when i started pulling the engine out...
the noise seems to click then stop then click a bit more, no pattern or load, drive or no drive.
all the wheels spin on the hoist fine, and the torque converter works when i ride the brakes... just very curious to figure out what the noise is...
anyone got a quick procedure on proper removal of auto trans's from an impreza?
