Our house is due to finish in the next week. We are in a Telstra Velocity Area.
I pretty much designed the cabling layout for our house and had to explain to the electricians how to do it, so hopefully it all works

Basically you have an ONT(Optical Network Terminator) at your house which has ports for telephone, internet and free to air/pay tv. All you need to decide is which of these services you want in each room. Best to draw a little map for your chosen installer.

Ours cost about $3,500. But it was on the more complex end of the scale.
