I know a few people who have had people get back in their cars to move around the corner do a runner and since they don't have the details of the f&^ker that ran into them they cop what is effectively an at fault accident through their insurance company and have to stump up the excess.
Screw the traffic don't let them go anywhere until at the very least you have a photo of the cars numberplate and damage .
I'm having enough trouble getting an excess back from QBE from June when some pole smoker knocked me off the Gixxer at a stop sign. Won't give it back till they make a recovery and this asshole won't pay up. They have all his details and he has even admitted fault but still won't pay.
Don't take the risk and get the details FIRST!!!
