I absolutely can not stand being advertised to, especially those brand power and zoot review ads. Some woman comes on with overly white teeth and a massive grin and starts banging on about her thrush infested clopper and how it gives her a headache and the kids need feeding and this miricle box o shite is going to fix everything for her.

Foxtel IQ FTW, I always go through 2 weeks in advance setting loads of stuff to record. Then I can watch it at my own leisure and fast forward through all the adverts. If I am flicking through and find something to watch I start recording it and then find something else to do for the first 15 minutes, that gives enough recorded time to be able to skip the ads.
