Yeah, it's an unusual situation. The whole idea behind the rally rego scheme was for cars that do not comply. The conditions on the rego clearly state that the vehicle is exepmpt from ADR compliance. They shouldn't even get the tint meter or the noise meter out. You're also exempt from having an immobiliser fitted as well, if they try that one on you too!

But when it's all said and done you can't argue with them, you just have to bend over and take whatever they say, rightly or wrongly. Last time I licensed a rally car that I'd put a lot of time, effort and money into the first thing they said was "So you think you're going to license this hey?" Coming at me with a hostile attitude. Even though it had been scrutineered and approved and I had everything in order, They prejudjed me based on having a modified car. ie; obviously I must be a hoon!
