if you look at the bottom of your tacho, it will say x1000 rpm. this means you are not doing '5' rpm, but 5000 rpm.

i think your clutch is buggered, sounds like its slipping pretty bad or something... but take it to a workshop who knows your ecu, such as MMS (i recall you have an autronic?) as it could be an electronic problem also.
