Yep, personally not surprised. As Perth gradually becomes the retarded sister city to Roystonvasey, at least we can say 'this is a local track, for local people'.

Spoke to someone very well positioned in one of the bodies outside government involved with Barbs and he couldn't believe that I had the impudence to suggest that the track could be improved. Apparently there is none better around (well not close to Perth anyway).

The V8's don't get me wet, but this kind of thinking will see us lose many more events. As far as the air race goes, if it ever proves it's worth fine, that doesn't mean we shouldn't be looking to attract the WRC or other events as well.
