I was suggesting that
road rage is very similar to
forum rage due to
lack of empathy.
When we drive in our cars we are detached from the individuals around us due to the insularity that being in a car vehicle's body provides. As such, I was making a comparison that the aggression shown in threads, such as this one, is not dissimilar to the lack of empathy shown by the shotgun threatening driver due to the fact that we are all insulated from other forum members by the nature of being on the internet.
I believe that the aggression shown would not occur in either case if the participants were all sitting around a table having a discussion on the same topics and/or incidents.

No your correct I was not addressing the point. However, it led to my point. Using terms such as
moron, dickhead, back to . . . doesn't address the topic either. Hence my point which was a general comment for all not aimed at any poster.
