The simplest answer is any ADSL connection of the
same connection speed as a cable connection will outperform as it has a discreet bandwidth. IE - not shared with all users on the "cable".
However, SOME places have blindingly fast cable connections (100 Mbs - 1 Gbs) which the shared bandwidth becomes almost incidental depending on user load.
