Cracked hose or top tank is split. Check that themostat as well, if too much pressure is building up, it will let go at the weakest point. Relatively cheap to replace! I'll still keep an eye on the temp gauge for the next couple weeks just to be sure.

Also see if the fans are coming on...faulty fan sensor? Then again it could be caused by the themostat not opening...so the sensor isnt getting the right readings.
