Default [GIVEWAI] reborn - External wastegate, How can I make it quieter?

I've recently purchased a rather loud (ok to be more accurate insanely loud) wrx and although I have a lot of time for the good members of the police force (note I said "good members") I'd rather not be attracting them to me in large numbers (unless they are female and blonde but that's a whole different issue lol).

The exhaust is easy, take it somewhere and actually put some mufflers on it and that takes care of that but it also has an external wastegate of which I've not had any experience with previously so the following question may make no sense at all so bear with me.

Is it possible to plumb the outlet of the wastegate back into the exhaust system and increase the overall size of the piping to allow for the extra gasses or does it have to vent straight to atmosphere? I don't care if it costs me even 50 - 100 hp of overall power seeing as there is plenty more where that came from, I just want it to not draw so much attention.

Thanks.
