Plumb back will fix your noise issues.
Check what turbo it is. If the internal gate has been spot welded shut to allow for install of the external gate, you could completely remove the external gate and return to a factory internal gate setup.
If it is some kickass GT35R with only an external gate option... Please post up more specs of the car
