keep in mind that most competition calipers do NOT have dust/dirt seals and need to be overhauled/serviced frequently to avoid major problems.

this fact on it's own, would suggest that they are not suitable for your application.

I think a caliper like the spec c ra-R has (or similar) would be better suited to your application Tino.
