I survived for years running R comps as a daily drive having said that I only really used the car on the weekends and occasionally during the week. big downside was that wet roads were always touch and go particulalrly towards the end of the tread life.... Once I got a second set of rims there was no turning back..also getting far more life out of the tyres now!!

I think everyone is different and the best thing is simply to try it out as a DD and you will soon figure out what's best for you.
