The Ohlins seem to have lovely billet aluminium brackets.. as expected for a top end coilover!

Anything thats out of Asia (Japan included) has steel threaded tube with plates welded on.

BUT, the catch is.. it depends what model.

Bit of searching around got me this.. a guy trying to fit 05+ STi spec Ohlins to his WRX, and they didn't fit of course.. plus they are welded.
