If you're serious enough to look at valve amps for your hifi setup, that setup should be in a room that is gonna give the amp (and the music being played) a fighting chance to sound it's best. Trying to get the best out of your hifi arrangement will always be compromised by any attempt at accomodating for home theatre (through my experience at least).
The room isnt the best at the moment. It is 9x3m so it is a bad shape. The speakers are half way along the 9m wall.

I did have them at the end of the room but the bass was sooooo boomy and horrible. Great for home theatre though, because i could set up the side and rear speakers properly. I am looking at accoustic treatments, to put on the walls because the room has wood floors, windows and un treated walls.

The speakers at the moment are wharfedales, though i am looking at changing them to something else at a later date.
