I personally don't see the point. Go 5.1 with rear speakers that image nicely, or go to 7.1 and arrange the 4 rears so you get a nice seamless transition on your effects. 6.1 seems to be bastard lost child of home theatre.
I recently purchased these Mission e54 towers. I chose them over B&W, Polk and Focal offerings in the same price range.
I must say, I'm quite envious of phizzle's setup.
