Ive run 18x8 +35 enkeis 5x100 PCD with 0 camber at rear with coilovers and just rear gaurds rolled.

You should be able to run 18x8.5 +35 with a little bit of rear camber. or +40 with no camber imo...

Also wrx only run 5x100 PCD...

I dont think ur mate really has a clue..
