Unsure if this has been posted before but i thought I'd share for those of you who like to tinker under the bonnet. As you know it can be a little tight working under the bonnet for extended periods of time. well subaru know this and actually have a system in place for vertical bonnet access.
Simply remove the bonnet latch from its rubber mount (rubber will most likely come out with it) insert the catch but in the upside down position, then mount into the strut top.

GC's have the hole on the top of the strut tower.
