Recirc/fresh is always electric. Manual controls have a cable for the hot/cold flap and a cable for the vent control inside the box. Climate cars have temp sensors everywhere and servo motors to change the flaps in the heater box. Not worth doing even in a road car. In your road/track hack.....forget about it.
