Good question, I can definitely help.

Firstly check with your insurance company, you might be able to get them to cover all the costs (or get a replacment iPhone) if you have coverage on your home and contents plan.

The volume buttons, along with the headphone jack and silent switch wiring are actually one of the most time consuming things on an iPhone to replace, quite a lot more than a screen. You have to take the whole motherboard out to get to the necessary wiring unit.

The volume buttons' switch is the long silver unit on the top right in the second photo.

How long it takes and the price depends on what exactly is broken and I can't tell that without looking at your iPhone. If it's just the actual buttons which need replacing then I can do that for $40. If its the whole wiring unit which is fauly, then this is very intricate and time consuming and would be $70.

Happy to look at it for you and see what you want to do from there. Give me a call with any questions.

Greg
