Keen to hear more about this, as mine was showing small signs of this but in a different way (also on the same side of the block).

1) One of the head bolts was rather corroded; and
2) On the top of the block one of the ten mill bolts locking down the fuel rail 'from memory', pretty much snapped in half with very minimal pressure.

Glad to see you finally finally got those bolts sorted RB, they were a true test of patience.
