Verso and Ecutek are both programs that enable you to keep your stock
ECU, (angines computer) and re tune the standard maps.
If you add things like a turbo, intercooler, exhaust, the computer needs to match the tune to suit and ensure your engine is still running safely. Things like your fueling, ignition timing and boost are controlled by the
ECU. If you have a 2001 onwards wrx and plan on getting more power out of it you will need a retune. Ecutek and Verso are the most popular / affordable options of doing this.

I stuck with the verso and couldn't be happier. Plenty of others here use and love it to the point you can expect a thread locked almost immediatly if you bag it out.
Plenty have also been happy with ECUtek and wouldn't go for anything else.
You can also feel free to bag it out at will as long as you don't drag any of the common workshops into it.
