Alternate at standard level

I have a Linksys wireless router, situated at the front of my house and I have perfect signal in my shed at the back of my block. If you start using repeaters, unless im way out of the loop, you will effectively halve your bandwidth, as they cant send and receive at the same time. Although Im sure someone will correct me on that

If you are going to, I would as said use an actual access point, same SSID/passcode that is hardwired for best throughput.
