Bank Cheques are safe
The reason that they are so safe is that the bank will only issue a bank cheque when the person requesting one has the funds in their account. This guarantees that they have the money in the first place!
Once the cheque is drawn up, the money is removed from the account of the person requesting the cheque and deposited into the banks own account.
The cheque is always made out in someones name or a company name and cannot be changed. It this case the cheque should be made out to you.
Once you have the cheque and deposit it to your account the bank will honour it. Simple as that.
Bank Cheques cannot bounce as the bank guarantees it, not the person who gave it to you.
