I used to have a synchroless (dog) gearbox and I treat the 6 speed with the same contempt... she loves it.
Personally for manual transmissions I would be seeing the chaps at STechnic. It might be a bit of a drive from where you live (Your profile says Hillarys) But I think it will be worth your time.
